Improving Cognitive Function in Veterans with Gulf War Illness by Improving Cerebral Vascular Function

Abstract

The goal of this study is to explain the cognitive impairment veterans with GWI experience through the reduced capacity of the cerebral vasculature into dilate (Aim 1) and to determine if COX inhibition will reduce impact of endothelial derived vasoconstrictors, improving cerebrovascular vasodilatory capacity and in turn improve blood flow during a cognitive challenge (Aime2).
