Joint Ordnance Test Procedure (JOTP)-022 Safety and Suitability for Service Assessment Testing for Small Caliber Ammunition Less Than 20mm

Abstract

This Joint Ordnance Test Procedure (JOTP) shall serve as the US Joint Services Safety and Suitability for Service Test Procedures with regards to Small Caliber Ammunition Less Than 20mm until which time the Allied Ammunition Safety And Suitability for Service Assessment Test Procedure (AAS3P-22 Ed (A)) is approved by NATO Allied Committee 326 (AC326). Upon approval of the AAS3P, thorough review of this document shall be conducted with the intent to supersede. The categories of ammunition covered by this JOTP are ball, tracer, armor piercing (and variants), frangible, incendiary, high explosive (HE) and variants, training (such as blanks, reduced range and target practice), shotgun and less than lethal ammunition.
