The Automated MEOCS Analysis System (AMAS)

Abstract

The Automated HEOCS Analysis System (AMAS) is designed to process Military Equal Opportunity Climate Survey (HEOCS) data and produce a formatted report for return to commanders. AMAS coordinates the output from several programs to produce an integrated feedback package that is easily understood and useful to the commander. The system is user-friendly, quickly learned, and requires minimal input from the operator. For those who have some familiarity with HEOCS and computer operation, the only instructions required may be those in the step-by-step instruction card (appendix A), the overview flow diagram (Appendix C), or the detailed flow diagram (Appendix D). In order to gain a fuller understanding of how AMAS works--and what to do when something goes wrong--the operator should read this entire manual. In addition, a quick review of the files used by AMAS (described in appendix B) may help the operator understand how and why AHAS works.
