Fluorite-Structured Oxides: A New Class of Multifunctional Materials

Abstract

The goal of the project is to elucidate the fundamental science underpinning the stability and crystallography of acentric/polar phases of HfO2 using complementary modeling and experimental programs. This fundamental study will lay the necessary foundation for the design and implementation of new functionalities using acentric phases of HfO2 and related materials.
