Secure Detection of Mobile Small-Scale Primary Users in Cognitive Radio Networks

Abstract

Model, characterize, and analyze attack-tolerant detection and location tracking for real-time monitoring of mobile primary user activities; Establish and analyze governing principles for safe coexistence with small-scale primary users by identifying the key security threats; Develop innovative techniques that exploit the PHY-layer signal propagation characteristics to maintain high detection accuracy in hostile CRN environments; and Implement the developed techniques and evaluate their performance via simulation and experiments on a heterogeneous and SDR-based wireless network testbed.
