2017 Active Duty Spouse Survey: Tabulations of Responses

Abstract

This report contains tabulations of responses from the 2017 Survey of Active Duty Spouses (2017 ADSS) conducted June 22, 2017 to November 13, 2017. The target population for the 2017 ADSS consisted of spouses of active duty members of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force, excluding National Guard and Reserve members, who were below flag rank. In addition, members of the sample became ineligible if they indicated they were divorced or widowed from the active duty member, or if the active duty member separated from service. The survey was subdivided into thirteen topic areas: background information, education and employment, permanent change of station (PCS) moves, family details, health and well-being, feelings about military life, spouse deployments, effect of deployments on children, reunion and reintegration, tempo, programs and services, financial well-being, and participation in the Federal Voting Assistance Program.
