Personnel Recovery in the AFRICOM Area of Responsibility: Cost-Effective Options for Improvement

Abstract

This report updates ongoing research on the mission of rescuing injured personnel in Africa. Previous work called for a new approach to this mission, and this report offers such an approach. The objective is to identify the most cost-effective options for improving rescue capabilities in the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) area of responsibility (AOR).
