Abstract

This report presents an overview of the programs, investment strategies, and accomplishments of the Army Research Office (ARO) for fiscal year 2018 (FY18; 1 Oct 2017 through 30 Sep 2018). This report provides: A brief review of the strategy employed to guide ARO research investments and noteworthy issues affecting the implementation of that strategy, Statistics regarding basic research funding (i.e., "6.1" funding) and program proposal activity, Selected success stories from each of the ARO scientific divisions and special programs.
