Theory of Radial Indications

Abstract

Computed Tomography is usually not an option when inspecting manufactured parts in a production environment. This is largely due to time constraints and allocation of resources. X-Radiographic Inspection can be enhanced by capturing multiple angular radiographs of the item. In this paper we derive a formula for the radius of rotation of a relevant indication based on the starting and ending position of the indication.
