Non Invasive Computer Vision Toolkit For Legacy Machines using MTConnect

Abstract

University of Cincinnati, TechSolve, and International TechneGroup Inc. (ITI) along with industry demonstration partners Raytheon, Faurecia, and Matdan Fasteners have developed an innovative, affordable and non-invasive toolkit that combines currently available camera, computing, and networking technology and components with a new software analytics platform. The Non-Invasive Computer Vision Toolkit has been designed to acquire data from various legacy machine components (e.g., gauges, readouts, dial positions, and other shop floor artifacts) which are then converted into appropriate data.
