Proposal to Study the Effects of Quantum Noise and Coherence in Statistical and Bio-Physics

Abstract

The purpose of the proposal was to study the effects of quantum noise and coherence in quantum optics and bio-physics. We found new ways to create coherent radiation via Dicke superradiance and new kinds of quantum heat engines operating with quantum coherent systems. We also developed new ways to analyze and visualize plane crashes, e.g., the German flight 9525 crash.
