Determination of En Route Patient Staging Competencies

Abstract

The en route care (ERC) system ensures patients are safely transported between levels of care. The ERC system must have the ability to provide uninterrupted care from the point of injury or initial illness until patients arrive at a medical treatment facility (MTF) or between capabilities in the continuum of essential care, without compromise to the patients condition.
