Abstract

Recurrent cryptogenic strokes should prompt a thorough and comprehensive evaluation for potential embolic sources. Cardiac papillary fibroelastoma (CPF) can potentially cause systemic emboli, stroke, MI, and sudden death and should remain on the differential in an otherwise negative workup.
