Insights from the Marine Corps Organizational Culture Research Project: Pregnancy Loss

Abstract

This report offers a glimpse of what it is like to experience pregnancy loss as an active duty Marine. Dismissed, uncomfortable, awkward, this topic and those experiencing it often face silence, speaking broadly of western culture. In the Marine Corps specifically, this culture of silence is exacerbated by policy and leadership issues as well as cultural ideas of how and what a Marine should be.
