(SECAF 2030) University of Utah Technical Listening Engagement Air Force 2030 Forum

Abstract

The University of Utah (UU) hosted the 6th S and T event at the SJ Quinney College of Law on the Salt Lake City campus over July 10-11, 2018. This workshop helped AFRL to engage with industry and academic partners throughout the United States, with an emphasis on the Southwest region. The objective of the workshop was to solicit and explore science and technology ideas that will be used to guide Air Force investments in basic and applied research over the next decade. In a broad sense, these efforts aspire to result in new capabilities for the Air Force in 2030 and beyond. Commensurate with this motivation, the UU proposes to provide a platform to connect Air Force interests with regional leaders in science and technological innovation from academia and industry.
