Social Media and the Army: Implications for Outreach and Recruiting

Abstract

This report documents research and analysis conducted as part of a project titled Leveraging Technology to Enhance the Effectiveness of Army Recruiting by Connecting with Americas Youth, sponsored by the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs. The purpose of this project was to improve the effectiveness of recruiting resources and the Armys ability to communicate with the youth population by identifying ways in which it can make more creative use of technologies.
