Abstract

The United States Marine Corps (USMC), already the smallest U.S. military service and the frugal forceto quote recent Commandant Gen. James Amoshas faced repeated force reductions in the past decade due to budget cuts, sequestration, and redeployments from operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.1 USMC logistics units were not spared, and in 2012 intermediate-level supply accounts experienced a reduction in personnel as a result of these policy changes.
