Lead Paint Removal Quality Assurance Manual for Renovation/Demolition Contracts at Non-Housing/Non-Child Occupied Facilities

Abstract

This field procedure manual was developed to help government representatives review and administer lead paint removal contracts. The manual's intent is to ensure the contractor: (1) protects the safety and health of workers and building occupants, (2) prevents the release of lead paint debris into the environment, and (3) complies with all applicable standards and regulations. The manual parallels each stage of a lead paint removal project at a non-housing/non-child occupied facility. Checklists, which follow the logical sequence of a removal project, provide basic information and emphasize important criteria.
