Smart Adaptive Socket to Improve Fit and Relieve Pain in Wounded Warriors

Abstract

A modular attachment to the vacuum pump was developed to allow the system to control both the volume elements and the socket vacuum. The design and fabrication of the liner were refined as was the design of the liner to socket connection interface. The control algorithm was also improved and expanded. IRB approval for the clinical trial has been achieved.
