Turbulence in American Defense Policy

Abstract

This bibliography supports the 60th Academy Assembly held at the United States Air Force Academy, 16-17 October 2018. This year's topic encompasses four components examining major technological and societal changes formulating foreign policy: 1) Interstate: Panel exploring how advancements in technologies along three-four areas (e.g. changes in cyber, space, missiles, and RPA). 2) Intrastate: Panel exploring how changes in technologies empower three-four actors (e.g. changes in technology that empower terrorists, NGO and MNCs). 3) Domestic: Panel exploring how changes in American society (e.g. the turn to the private contractor, the rise of the female warrior, the recognition of transgender service, and the widening civilian-military gap).
