Spectral Structure of Truncated Laplace Transforms as a Tool of Signal Analysis

Abstract

The popularity of drone aircraft has been growing rapidly. Such devices are both inexpensive and easily obtainable -and present obvious security concerns, especially coupled with GPS systems and high-resolution digital cameras. The need to rapidly recognize such devices and classify them with a reasonable degree of reliability is likely to increase in the near future. Historically, classification of radar signatures has received much attention - but principally in the context of manned aircraft, which are in many ways different from drones. Furthermore, recent analytical developments substantially improved our understanding of the geometry of spaces of complex exponentials, which are a natural moderately stealth targets.
