Evaluation of the Department of Defense's Handling of Incidents of Sexual Assault Against (or Involving) Cadets at the United States Military Academy

Abstract

The purpose of the USMA SHARP program at West Point, New York, is to provide a 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week sexual assault response capability to support cadetvictims of sexual assault. Additionally, USMASHARP personnel are required to provide crisis intervention to cadetvictims, inform cadetvictims of their reporting options, refer cadetvictims to victim support services, and provide ongoing support to cadetvictims of sexual assault.
