Aircraft Basing: Assessment of Navy's May 1988 Basing Study for the TACAMO Aircraft

Abstract

On May 20, 1988, cost study supporting its decision to base its new E-6A Take Charge and Move Out (TACAMO) aircraft at Tinker AirForce Base, Oklahoma. Specifically, you asked us to examine the accuracy and reliability of the assumptions and factors the Navy considered. Members of the Oklahoma and Maryland Congressional Delegations also have expressed interest in the Navy's study and the review you requested.
