Civil Engineer Company Grade Officer Competency-Based Educational Modeling
Abstract
The Air Force Development Commander directed Air University schools to transition current developmental education programs to competency-based education. In compliance with this direction, The Civil Engineer School formalized performance requirements, proficiency types, and a standard development timeline for Civil Engineer Company Grade Officers. This research used structured brainstorming session, position analysis, career field survey, and expert elicitation (Delphi) study and established an educational model with a characterization of 18 Civil Engineer Company Grade Officer competencies, proficiency types, and developmental sequencing for this group.
