A Statistical Differencing Filter for Image Enhancement

Abstract

The use of digital radiography in the context of industrial manufacturing has become widespread. In this paper, we describe the construction and implementation of a filter for image enhancement. We also describe how to extend the results in this paper to make the celebrated Wallis filter.
