Abstract

US. military presence in the Pacific theater reaches from the west coast of the United States to the east coast of Africa and from the Arctic to the Antarctic. It involves military personnel stationed in Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Hawaii, Alaska, and Guam, as well as Navy and MarineCorps personnel assigned to ships, submarines, and naval aircraft operating in the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
