Telemetry Standards: Chapter 1: Introduction (RCC Standard 106-20 Chapter 1, July 2020)

Abstract

The Telemetry Standards address the here-to-date conventional methods, techniques, and practices affiliated with aeronautical telemetry applicable to the member RCC ranges. The first 11 chapters are generally devoted to a different element of the telemetry system or process. Chapters 21 through 28 address the topic of network telemetry. These chapters are to be used together to define the various aspects of network telemetry. Reference documents are identified at the point of reference. Commonly used terms are defined in standard reference glossaries and dictionaries. Definitions of terms with special applications are included when the term first appears, generally in appendices of individual chapters. Radio frequency terms are defined in the Manual of Regulations and Procedures for Federal Radio Frequency Management.
