The Ovarian Cancer Academy 2015-2020: A Team-Based Science Approach

Abstract

During the fourth year of this award, all objectives outlined in the original application in support of this virtual training program, in support of early career investigators, were completed. These include: i) oversight and review of all training program members research progress, ii) initiation of cooperative research projects, continuation of monthly webinar series, consisting of research reports, career development, leadership training, and team science project planning. iii) expansion of an Academy website, iv) engagement of Academy members with advocacy community, v) promotion of Academy members in national networks, on review committees, and as meeting presenters, v) designed and implemented an annual workshop, including the development of a leadership curriculum, vi) implemented metrics for program evaluation; measured these metrics during the fourth year; distributed base line and year four instruments; collected and analyzed data from base line responses and year one, and collected data from all participants through end of year 4 (data analysis ongoing).
