Abstract

Since World War II, the United States has enjoyed a period of unprecedented command of the air domain, doctrinally termed air control. The degree of air control the United States Air Force gains and maintains in conflicts has been either air superiority or even air supremacy. These levels of air control will not continue in the future due to advanced threats from adversaries with parity, or even higher levels of capability than the United States military.
