Questions by USAC and GSC on Military Operations in Vietnam

Abstract

BACKGROUND: Reports from Vietnam indicate that the Army field force headquarters are playing an increasingly active role in the planning and conduct of tactical operations. To correlate College instruction on the corps headquarters versus the Army field force headquarters, it is necessary to determine the operational and combat service support responsibilities of Amy field force headquarters. QUESTIONS: 1a. Is the role of Army field Force headquarters equivalent to the role of a corps headquarters? 1b. What combat service support responsibilities are assigned to Army field force headquarters?
