Tailoring for AIAA S-121A-2017, Electromagnetic Compatibility Requirements for Space Equipment and Systems

Abstract

This document is a tailoring of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Standard S-121A-2017 to provide an effective space vehicle (SV) program technical baseline for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and national security space mission success. This document is intended to be (a) appropriately used on acquisition and study contracts for SVs based on the project goals, acquisition approach and the projects risk acceptance posture and (b) invoked together with AIAA S-121A, as compliance documents to specify EMC requirements for SVs.
