Exploring the Design Space of Quantum Heat Engines

Abstract

If future nanodevices were able to harvest energy from the heat in their surroundings, a great technological revolution would arise. This would be possible only with new technologies like nanoscale heat engines. Given the importance of quantum effects at thisscale, the design of nanoengines would be based on quantum thermodynamics.
