Embracing Agile Acquisition with an Agile Mindset

Abstract

This project will examine Agile acquisition principles and analyze how to capitalize on an Agile mindset across the Department of Defense (DOD). The intent is to identify whether the current workforce culture is structured to embrace innovative acquisition approaches, specifically Agile acquisition. The methodology and analytical approach for this project will include an analysis of technical literature, reviews, and documentation to identify potential best practices for applying Agile acquisition principles to the DOD. This research will not evaluate the Agile requirement development process but analyze the need for a paradigm shift in thinking and mindset of the current workforce. However, the Agile framework will be discussed to help the audience understand the current limitations and potentials of implementing such a strategy.
