Gangs and Extremists Groups: Serving Two Agendas

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to provide an insight of my thoughts and feelings of how gang and extremist members have entered the ranks of our Army and defaced the foundation of what we stand for. This paper will also look at improving military enlistee screening for gang and extremist group activity. This topic is not new and certainly the challenges are as old as many of our traditions. By looking deeply within this horrific subject we will see that many of these hate gratified individuals exist because leadership has failed to fully face this problem head on.
