Portable WARrior Test of Tactical AgiLity: POWAR-TOTAL

Abstract

The goals of this project are to establish project infrastructure and regulatory approvals, compare POWAR-TOTAL performance in healthy controls (n=60) to those with concussion (n=100) recruiting from Fort Bragg and Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), and examine how POWAR- TOTAL scores change with rehabilitation recovery for those with concussion. We had inordinate delays in regulatory approval at both sites, beginning data collection at Fort Bragg in May of 2018, with the MAMC approval in November of 2018. As of September 2020 we have collected data on 60/60 healthy control participants and 75/100 individuals with mTBI using the POWAR-TOTAL, (50 pre- post-test). We have completed all infrastructure tasks (procedures, personnel, equipment, training, database establishment, FITBIR, ongoing regulatory approvals).
