Chamberlain. Thenarrative explodes the myth of "After Action Reports" as dull reading. The narrative draws the reader to the field of acrucial engagement in a turning point battle that probably altered the course of American history. What a field of battleit was! Historians have documented the significance of the Battle of Gettysburg and Lincoln immortalized its participants andtheir cause.
