A Novel-Provider Focused Training Program to Serve Transition-Age Youth and Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Abstract

The objective of this project is to develop, and pilot test a novel primary care provider training program with the goal of increasing high-quality community-based health care for adults with autism spectrum disorder. This will address (1)development of health care provider-focused training to improve health care delivery across the lifespan and(2)development of interventions promoting success in key transitions to adulthood. Aim 1: To develop the ECHO Autism Adult Healthcare Training curriculum and protocol. Aim 2: To implement and test the ECHO Autism Adult Healthcare Training curriculum in primary care providers caring for adults with ASD.
