Surface Measurements Made from the R/V Alliance During the Mediterranean Aircraft-Ship Transmission Experiment (MASTEX), June 1990

Abstract

Measurements of sea-surface temperature, surface meteorology and atmospheric profiles taken during the June 1990 cruise of the R/V Alliance in the Aegean and Ionian Seas are presented in graphical form. True winds, net long-wave radiation and turbulent air-sea fluxes have been calculated and are also presented. The data reported form part of the 'MASTEX' (Mediterranean Aircraft-Ship Transmission Experiment) data set which includes airborne measurements from the C-130 of the U K Meteorological Research Flight
