Convoy Training Validation in Baghdad

Abstract

So far, so good thought SGT Edward Duran. Even though the Squadron had only been in Iraq a week, there was enemy contact the first day upon arrival to the Forward Operating Base. Tonight looked like it was going to be an easy trip south to resupply the Checkpoints manned by the tankers of Mad Dog Company and Redlegs of Regulator Battery. Suddenly there was an explosion behind the convoy commanders M1114, followed by small arms tracer fire directly to his front coming from an overpass. Now what? Would his Soldiers react as they had been trained to do?
