Audit of Contracts for Equipment and Supplies in Support of the Coronavirus Disease - 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic

Abstract

We plan to begin the subject audit in April 2020. The objective of this audit is to determine whether the DoD paid fair and reasonable prices for laboratory equipment and personal protective equipment procured in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We may revise the objective as the audit proceeds, and we will also consider suggestions from management for additional or revised objectives. We will perform the audit at contracting offices within the Department of the Army, Department of the Navy, Department of the Air Force, Defense Health Agency, and Defense Logistics Agency that have awarded contracts in response to the coronavirus pandemic. We may identify additional locations during the audit.
