Abstract

The Foreign Operations and Government Information Subcommittee, House Committee on Government Operations, Investigated the U S military and economic assistance programs in the Republic of Vietnam In 1966. The Subcommittee found that the U S Agency for International Development (AID) mission In Vietnam had not established adequate controls over the budgeting, release, and use of U S owned or controlled local currency (plasters) made available for support of Vietnam's civil budget
