Analytical Study: The Structure of the Tactical Air Force

Abstract

To study and analyze the proportion of tactical air units to ground units, Training Circular No. 30 (19 June 1945), and Field Manual 100-20 (21 July 1943). From this study, to evolve a yardstick for future planning whereby staff planners may draw up a troop basis of Air Force units for a Task Force, and a doctrine for the relationship of air and ground units using weapons of the immediate future.
