A Research and Development Investment Portfolio for Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages

Abstract

This document, developed in conjunction with teams of subject matter experts, lists and describes fields of study where research and development investments would be beneficial to the DMSMS management community. Ten fields of study were developed and prioritized for improving and reducing the cost of DMSMS management operations. Seven fields of study were developed and prioritized for identifying where technology advances would enable more cost-effective resolutions to DMSMS issues.
