U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) Closed Bomb Reduction Analysis (CloBRA) - User's Manual

Abstract

The U.S. Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center Closed Bomb Reduction Analysis (CloBRA) program, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, has been developed to reduce closed bomb test data using a refined, user-friendly, and interactive approach. The program has been shown to produce consistent results with legacy closed bomb codes and includes new features to support future closed bomb testing efforts. These features include a burn table feature, which allows users to analyze geometries that dont adhere to analytical form functions, and a pressure-time curve generator, which allows users to construct a closed bomb pressure-time curve based on governing parameters. The documentation herein discusses the governing equations and theory utilized in the code and also provides a detailed walkthrough of the CloBRA program such that it can be readily used upon installation.
