Chemical Defense Training Facility Enhancements Design and Installation

Abstract

This Final Report details the enhancements to the Chemical Defense Training Facility (CDTF) located at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. The CDTF is a unique USG asset, allowing for the training of more than 4,500 personnel annually in detection and identification of chemical weapons, as well as in decontamination of people and equipment. The completed modification further modernized the provided training environment, provided trainees with improved and more realistic threat scenarios. The project was divided into three tasks 1) Collaborative Design efforts to plan and document enhancement to the CDTF; 2) implementation efforts to install new features and improve current fixtures according to the design agreed upon by the Government; and 3) Review and support of Pre-Install Decontamination efforts accomplished by the Governments Development Command Chemical Biological Center (CCBC) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
