The Ethics of the Drill Sergeant of the Cycle Competition

Abstract

Is the Drill Sergeant of the Cycle competition a positive ethical or negative ethical program? The United States (US) Army developed the Drill Sergeant of the Cycle program to recognize the outstanding dedication and professionalism of the best Non-commissioned Officer or Drill Sergeant during a basic training cycle. The Drill Sergeant of the Cycle receives the honor of standing before the graduation audience in his or her Class A uniform and Drill Sergeant Hat. Under a spotlight, they stand at the position of attention and recite the Drill Sergeant Creed.
