Army Military Pay Systems, 1918-1958 (Historical Summary of Finance Corps Activities in the Creation of a New Army Pay System)

Abstract

One of the most important achievements of the Finance Corps since the Korean War is the creation of a new Army Pay System. The pay systemdid not break down in Koreasoldiers were usually paid accurately and promptly, but battle conditions revealed serious weaknesses in pay procedures. In an effort to remedy defects, finance officers have devised new methods for payment of troops.
