Brief History of CMMI

Abstract

The CMMI(registered trademark) Product Suite was developed by the CMMI Product Team, a team of process improvement experts from the government, industry, and the SEI, to improve on the existing Software Capability Maturity Model (SW-CMM) released in 1991.
