Countering the Risks of North Korean Nuclear Weapons

Abstract

This Perspective describes a combined research effort from the RAND Corporation and the Asan Institute for Policy Studies focused on the North Korean nuclear weapon threat. Drawing on open sources, we describe the current and developing nature of the threat posed by North Korean nuclear weapons and then propose actions that the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the United States could take to counter that threat.
