Infantry Combat: An Analytic and Synthetic Study
Abstract
As soon as the words, liaison of the arras, infantry - artillery liaison, are heard, the mind turns towards the material means of realizing this liaison, and especially towards the actual means of transmission. Certainly, the importance of this viewpoint is not to be denied: it is great; none the less, to consider this viewpoint alone is to neglect the main point of the question; to consider it first, is to place the cart before the horse. The basis of this delicate, complex and vitally important mechanism, the collaboration in combat of the infantry and artillery, is intellectual and moral liaison and this should be considered first.
